Job Descriptions:

ACDO is looking for a Procurement Intern to provide comprehensive support to the Procurement department. The selected individual will assist in the procurement process, supplier management, and documentation of purchase records while ensuring compliance with organizational and donor guidelines. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Process Support
    • Assist in preparing purchase requisitions and procurement documents.
    • Help collect and evaluate quotations from suppliers as per guidelines.
    • Support in the preparation of purchase orders and contracts.
  2. Supplier Management
    • Maintain and update the supplier database with accurate information.
    • Assist in liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Help monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to the Procurement Manager.
  3. Documentation and Compliance
    • Organize and maintain procurement files, including contracts, invoices, and bid documentation.
    • Ensure that all procurement processes comply with ACDO’s policies and donor regulations.
  4. Inventory and Logistics Support
    • Support the coordination of inventory management activities.
    • Assist in the receipt, inspection, and verification of goods delivered by suppliers.
    • Help ensure accurate records of assets and inventories are maintained.
  5. Administrative Tasks
    • Assist in drafting procurement reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide logistical support for procurement-related meetings and events.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Fresh graduates).
  2. Familiarity with procurement principles, processes, and tools.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
  6. Prior experience or coursework related to procurement or logistics is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  1. Basic understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
  2. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  3. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively within deadlines.
  4. Capacity to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
