Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The HR internship role offers practical experience to students or recent graduates in areas such as human resources management, including recruiting and hiring processes, maintaining employee records, Job advertisement, and supporting employee training and development programs. She gains insight into HR processes and contributes to essential functions while learning valuable skills.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The followings are the planned activities for the training of the intern:

  • Reviewing of the FSRF,
  • Announcing of the vacant positions on the ACBAR,
  • Maintaining and updating of the job announcement tracker,
  • Screening and longlisting of the CVs,
  • Scheduling and organizing of the written tests and interviews,
  • Colleting of the required documents, verifying of the documents during the hiring process,
  • Drafting of the offer letter and employment contract,
  • Preparing of personnel files,
  • Any other on-the-job training or professional development.    

Organizational Responsibilities:

Policy Adherence:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, maintain humanitarian principles and respect international humanitarian law.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse:

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Safeguarding:

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree program graduation in Economics, BBA, BBM or Social Science.

Experience:

  • Not required.  

Competency:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Strong interest in Human Resources and a desire to learn and grow in the field,
  • Organizational and time-management abilities,
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality,
  • English, Dari, and Pashtu speaking /writing skills,
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excel, and internet,
  • Local residence from Kabul province.
