About ANRCC:

Afghanistan National Re-Construction Coordination (ANRCC) is professionally managed committed Afghan, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit development-oriented organization. It was established in 1994 to meet the dire needs of vulnerable Afghan refugees and internally displaced families at the time of civil war and factional fighting followed by Soviet Union’s invasion of the country and troops withdrawal in early 1990’s. Earlier it was registered with UN Coordination Body for Afghanistan in Pakistan. Presently ANRCC is registered with Ministry of Economy under registration number 117.

ANRCC head office is located in Kabul city whereas for successful outreach and effective implementation of projects in targeted areas, it has regional office in Kandahar with provincial offices in Ghazni, Zabul, Uruzgan, Helmand, Farah, Nimroz, Parwan, Nanagerhar and Paktia.  ANRCC has skilled experienced, qualified professional staff who have capacity and competence involved to all the desired activities that promotes the goal and objective of the organization. Moreover, ANRCC's staffs are all well versed with local areas, their cultures and social norms with strong trust among the community including tribal elders, Shuras, civil society and government authorities. Job Descriptions:

The Finance Assistant supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with organizational financial policies and donor requirements. The position assists with day-to-day financial operations and provides timely financial information to management.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts.
  • Prepare and process payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries, and other financial documents.
  • Review supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Assist with cash and bank transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain petty cash records and ensure proper documentation of all petty cash transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and other financial reports.
  • Support the Finance Manager in budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
  • Ensure expenses are properly coded according to project and budget lines.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and review of staff-related financial documentation.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents, vouchers, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with audits by providing requested financial records and supporting documents.
  • Monitor advances and ensure timely liquidation of staff and operational advances.
  • Follow up on outstanding financial documents and advance settlements.
  • Assist in checking invoices and payment requests before processing.
  • Ensure financial transactions comply with organizational policies, donor regulations, and applicable procedures.
  • Coordinate with program, procurement, logistics, and administration teams on financial matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and staff information.
  • Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably with an NGO or development/humanitarian organization.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Experience with accounting software or financial management systems is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and relevant local languages.
