Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate structured dialogues and learning sessions with men and boys using approved curricula and participatory methods.
• Promote positive gender norms, non-violence, shared responsibility, respectful communication and support for women’s and adolescent girls’ access to services and skills.
• Establish or strengthen male engagement networks and support members to undertake safe, practical community actions.
• Engage community elders, religious leaders, youth representatives and other influential men to address barriers to women’s and girls’ participation.
• Use age-appropriate, culturally sensitive methods and challenge harmful attitudes without confrontation, stigma or increased risk to participants.
• Identify resistance, backlash, misinformation or protection concerns arising from sessions and agree mitigation actions with the supervisor.
• Provide accurate information about safeguarding, PSEA, available services and confidential complaint channels and refer concerns through approved pathways.
• Prepare session plans, attendance records and brief activity reports and document changes, challenges and community feedback without collecting unnecessary personal data.
• Coordinate closely with social workers and WGSS personnel while maintaining the privacy and safety of women and adolescent girls.
• Perform duties in accordance with OCHR policies, the signed Programme Document, the approved workplan, and applicable Donor standards and guidance.
• Promote safe, dignified and inclusive access to services, applying do-no-harm, confidentiality, informed consent and survivor-centred principles.
• Comply with OCHR safeguarding, child safeguarding, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, code of conduct, anti-fraud and conflict-of-interest requirements.
• Explain available feedback and complaint channels to participants and promptly report safeguarding concerns through approved confidential pathways.
• Maintain accurate, sex- and age-disaggregated activity records and submit timely daily, weekly and monthly information to the supervisor using approved formats.
• Coordinate respectfully with project colleagues, community representatives, relevant authorities and service providers while protecting personal data.
• Participate in orientation, supervision, team meetings, capacity-building activities and performance reviews, and carry out other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
