About MMRCA:

The Medical Management and Research Courses Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and humanitarian organization, established under No. 1112 dated 14 February 2008 in the Ministry of Economy and under No. 1271 dated 23 the July 2025 has been registered in the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.

MMRCA is awarded for the implementation of Operational support for 50-beds of Kandahar IDH and 50-beds of Nangarhar IDH from WHO, the project duration is for 7 months and 15 days and started from 16th May 2026.

 

Through HER Samangan project MMRCA has been providing quality health services to the entire population of the province according to BPHS and EPHS guidelines and MoPH policies/ strategies.  These services are providing through 4 DHs, 4 CHCs, 18 BHCs, 24 Sub-centers, 1MHT and 1-prison health center and 3-FHH, Similarly, Sar-e-Pul has a total of 71 HFs including 3-DHs, 9 CHCs, 20 BHCs, 32 PHCs, one MHT, 5 FHHs and one Prison Health Center.


MMRCA invites and encourage eligible candidates to apply for the position of Anesthesia Technician located at Sar-e-Pol province Kohistanat District/Kohistanat District Hospital

Job Descriptions:

·        Prepare the operating theatre and anesthesia workstation before scheduled procedures.

  • Observe patients during anesthesia

·        Assist the surgical team in ensuring smooth patient flow and timely preparation for operations.

·        Support appropriate infection prevention and control practices in the operating theatre.

·        Conduct routine checks of oxygen cylinders, pipelines, suction systems, monitors, and other equipment.

·        Follow all hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection prevention procedures, and occupational safety requirements.

·        Immediately report equipment failure, medication/supply shortages, or other risks that may compromise patient safety.

·        Maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethics.

·        Ensure that anesthesia equipment is checked before use and appropriately prepared between patients.

·        Participate in emergency preparedness and response activities within the technician's scope of practice.

·        Maintain appropriate records of anesthesia equipment checks and maintenance.

·        Record consumption and stock of anesthesia supplies as required.

·        Report equipment problems, incidents, and shortages to the responsible supervisor.

·        Participate in routine HF level meetings and provide relevant information regarding anesthesia services.

·        Clean and prepare anesthesia equipment according to the approved procedures.

·        Follow standard precautions and appropriate infection prevention and control measures.

·        Support regular preventive maintenance of anesthesia equipment in coordination with HF/maintenance staff

  • To perform any other official task assigned by Head of Health Facility or by line supervisor.
Job Requirements:

Anesthesia technician and graduated from Recognize Health Institute.

  • Diploma/certificate in Anesthesia from a recognized health Center/Institute.
  • Relevant experience working in an operating theatre anesthesia, district hospital
  • Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, airway equipment, patient monitoring, infection prevention, and operating theatre procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dari/Pashto and required English
