Job Descriptions:

Key Duties and Responsibilities;

  1. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of BSFP activities targeting returnee beneficiaries in assigned locations (Gazerga Transaction Center/ GTC).
  2. Support the identification, registration, verification, and targeting of eligible beneficiaries, particularly PLW and children.
  3. Conduct and/or supervise nutrition screening activities and ensure eligible beneficiaries are appropriately referred and assisted.
  4. Sensitize female beneficiaries and communities on BSFP assistance, food entitlements, nutrition, hygiene, and appropriate utilization of nutrition commodities.
  5. Collect, verify, compile, and submit accurate nutrition-related data and reports from the field on a daily basis.
  6. Ensure all BSFP records, beneficiary data, monitoring forms, and reports are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  7. Identify implementation challenges at the field level and report them to the line manager for appropriate action.
  8. Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, District Supervisors, SCOPE/registration teams, and other relevant project staff to ensure smooth implementation of BSFP activities.
  9. Support the project team in ensuring that eligible returnee beneficiaries receive their entitled BSFP assistance in a safe, dignified, and transparent manner.
  10. Promote awareness among beneficiaries regarding their rights, entitlements, feedback mechanisms, and proper use of nutrition assistance.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and ensure respectful engagement with women, children, and other vulnerable beneficiaries.
  12. Support the overall monitoring, documentation, and reporting of BSFP activities and contribute to achieving project objectives.
  13. Perform other nutrition-related duties assigned by the supervisor or Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Qualified Nurse or Midwife, preferably with additional training in nutrition.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in health, nutrition, BSFP, or humanitarian project implementation.
  • Experience in community mobilization, nutrition screening, beneficiary targeting, and training/sensitization activities.
  • Good understanding of nutrition issues affecting Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) and children.
  • Experience in behavior change communication and community-based nutrition awareness is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to field locations and project sites.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak and write English.
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to work with digital data-collection/reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with beneficiaries, community leaders, project staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong persuasion, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in challenging field environments and under pressure.
