Job Descriptions:

The M&E officer is responsible for overseeing project activities in the field to ensure quality, effectiveness, and compliance with organizational standards and donor requirements. The role involves collecting, verifying, and reporting data on project implementation, providing feedback to project teams, and supporting monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes. The M&$ officer will also coordinate birth registration activities, collect relevant birth registration data from different health facilities and sectors, verify the information, and compile and share regular reports with the relevant project team and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Conduct regular field visits to monitor CFS, awareness, case management, VT, IGA, birth registration, and other activities.

·       Collect, verify, and report accurate data on project outputs, outcomes, and indicators.

·       Collect and compile birth registration data from relevant health facilities and sectors.

·       Coordinate with health facilities and authorities to verify birth registration information.

·       Monitor the quality and progress of CFS and awareness sessions.

·       Monitor case management services, referrals, and response activities.

·       Monitor VT and IGA activities, beneficiary participation, and progress.

·       Verify beneficiary attendance, records, and reported achievements.

·       Identify implementation gaps, challenges, and risks and report them promptly.

·       Support M&E activities, including monitoring tools, checklists, and data verification.

·       Document field observations, lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.

·       Liaise with beneficiaries, communities, service providers, and local authorities.

·       Ensure compliance with child protection, safeguarding, confidentiality, and organizational policies.

·       Contribute to monthly, quarterly, donor, and ad hoc reports, including birth registration data. 

·       Follow up on monitoring findings and support corrective actions to improve program quality and effectiveness

Job Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in M&E or project supervision, preferably in humanitarian or development programs.

·       Knowledge of data collection methods, reporting tools, and M&E processes.

·       Good understanding of child protection principles, community engagement, and humanitarian standards.

·       Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to work independently in field settings and manage multiple tasks effectively.

·       Fluency in Pashto and Dari; basic English proficiency is an advantage.
