Afghanistan Relief and Sustainable Development Organization (ARSDO) is a national, non-profit development organization established in 2017 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (Registration No. 4190). ARSDO has a strong grassroots presence and extensive experience in designing and implementing community-based development and humanitarian interventions across Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

EPI officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising EPI and immunization activities to ensure quality service delivery in accordance with MoPH EPI guidelines and organizational standards.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor routine immunization and outreach activities.
  • Provide technical support and supervision to EPI/vaccination teams.
  • Monitor immunization coverage, vaccine utilization, cold chain, and vaccine safety.
  • Review and ensure timely submission of accurate EPI reports and data.
  • Identify gaps and support corrective actions to improve EPI performance.
  • Coordinate with health facilities, project teams, and relevant government EPI authorities.
  • Support EPI campaigns, trainings, and capacity-building activities.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education:

  • MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree from a recognized university is required.
  • Additional training in EPI, Immunization, Public Health, or Epidemiology is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in EPI, immunization, public health, or related health programs.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of EPI and immunization standards.
  • Good reporting, data analysis, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Good computer skills, particularly MS Office.
  • Fluency in Pashto/Dari; working knowledge of English is preferred.
