Job Descriptions:

Position Summary / Objective

The BMGF Mobilizer will lead community entry, community sensitization, beneficiary selection, and ground-level coordination for emergency humanitarian assistance in Helmand and Nimroz. The incumbent will work closely with Community Food Assistance Consultations (CFACs), local elders, and vulnerable households to ensure transparent targeting, active community participation, effective communication of distribution schedules, and seamless operations at Final Distribution Points (FDPs).

4. Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties

Community Mobilization & Stakeholder Liaison:

·       Conduct community awareness campaigns regarding project scope, eligibility criteria, beneficiary rights, and zero-tolerance policies against exploitation.

·       Facilitate the inclusive establishment and orientation of Community Food Assistance Consultations (CFACs) in target communities.

·       Serve as the primary field-level bridge between the community, local leaders, and OSID project management in Helmand and Nimroz.

Targeting, Registration & Distribution Support:

·       Assist field teams during household vulnerability assessments, beneficiary identification, and SCOPE registration processes.

·       Inform registered beneficiaries in advance about distribution dates, times, locations, and necessary identification documentation.

·       Support distribution site setup at FDPs, ensuring orderly line management, priority access for pregnant/lactating women, elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Protection, CFM & Accountability:

·       Disseminate clear information regarding Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM) hotline numbers and Help Desk locations.

·       Guide beneficiaries with inquiries or grievances to the project Help Desk at distribution sites.

·       Promote Protection, AAP (Accountability to Affected Populations), and PSEA standards across all community engagement activities.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements

·       Mandatory WFP Experience: Direct experience in community mobilization, beneficiary selection, or distribution support within WFP emergency food, CBT, or nutrition projects in Afghanistan is MANDATORY.

·       Work Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of practical experience in community mobilization or field outreach in humanitarian programs.

·       Education: High School Diploma (12th Grade graduate) required; Baccalaureate or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences/Humanities preferred.

·       Contextual Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local customs, community structure, and geographical areas of Helmand and Nimroz Provinces.

·       Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with community members and local elders.

·       Languages: Fluency in local languages (Pashto and Dari); basic understanding of English is an asset.
