Job Descriptions:

The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations and serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. The role includes handling patient registration, scheduling, and inquiries, as well as managing billing and cash collection processes with accuracy and accountability.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Diploma or certification in administration, accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a receptionist or cashier role, preferably in a hospital or clinic.
  • Basic knowledge of billing systems and cash handling procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage patient registration, appointments, and front desk inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and data entry
  • Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Collect consultation fees, diagnostic charges, and other payments from patients
  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
  • Handle cash, card, and digital payments securely
  • Reconcile daily cash collections and prepare end-of-day reports
  • Maintain billing registers and proper financial documentation
  • Coordinate with the accounts department on financial matters and discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with hospital financial and administrative policies
  • Safeguard cash and report discrepancies immediately
  • May require shift duties, including weekends and holidays
