Job Descriptions:

Job Summary: 

The English Teacher is responsible for instructing students in the English language in Bamyan, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. He develop lesson plans, creates engaging learning materials, and assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

•    Teaching the available TM curriculum.
•    Plans lessons in line with targeted objectives to ensure that students learn.
•    Encourage, monitor and record the progress of his/her students.
•    Support, observe and record the progress of his/her class. Plan lessons in line with targeted objectives with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning.
•    Keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and objectives. The instructor liaises and networks with other professionals, parents and careers both informally and formally.
•    Undertake pastoral duties, and support students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
•    Prepare students for qualifications and external examinations.
•    Manage students’ behavior in the classroom and on school premises and apply appropriate and effective measures in case of poor behavior.
•    Participate in departmental meetings and whole school training events.
•    Undertake regular on-the-job training as part of continuing professional development.
•    Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
 

Job Requirements:
  • Must have at least Bachelor’s degree in English Language Literature.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching the English language.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach English courses at primary, intermediate, and advanced levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective lessons using a variety of teaching methodologies, engage students, and facilitate a positive learning environment.
