• Conduct protection interviews with returnees and other persons of concern in accordance with UNHCR Protection Principles, Code of Conduct, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Identify and assess individuals with specific protection needs, including women and girls at risk, unaccompanied and separated children, older persons, persons with disabilities, , and other vulnerable groups.
• Ensure that all interviews are conducted with professionalism, impartiality, confidentiality, dignity, and respect.
• Provide accurate information to returnees on available protection services, assistance packages, referral mechanisms, and complaint procedures.
• Refer protection cases requiring specialized interventions to UNHCR and relevant service providers through established referral pathways.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential case records and interview documentation.
• Coordinate closely with Protection Monitors, Registration Teams, VolRep Processing Teams, government counterparts, and UNHCR Protection staff.
• Immediately report urgent protection incidents and concerns to the Project Team Leader and relevant UNHCR focal points.
• Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports and maintain proper filing systems.
• Support border monitoring and VolRep operations as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
