Job Decription:
The Afghan Development Foundation (ADF) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a UN Women-funded project focused on strengthening women's leadership, participation, empowerment, and engagement in humanitarian action, crisis response, community resilience, and decision-making processes.
The Project Manager will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, coordination, implementation oversight, monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance for the project. The position requires a dynamic professional with strong experience in project management, gender equality programming, women's empowerment, humanitarian and development interventions, stakeholder coordination, and donor compliance.
The successful candidate will ensure effective delivery of project activities, achievement of project objectives, and compliance with UN Women and ADF requirements while fostering partnerships with government institutions, civil society organizations, women-led groups, humanitarian actors, and local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities.
- Ensure timely achievement of project objectives, outputs, and deliverables in accordance with approved work plans and budgets.
- Coordinate with UN Women, government institutions, civil society organizations, women-led groups, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Supervise project staff and provide technical guidance and support.
- Monitor project performance, indicators, and progress against targets.
- Prepare and submit high-quality narrative reports, work plans, and project updates.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and project agreements.
- Oversee project budget utilization and support procurement and logistical planning.
- Facilitate training, capacity-building, and community engagement activities.
- Identify implementation risks and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are in place.
