About Afghan Development Foundation (ADF)
The Afghan Development Foundation (ADF) is a national, non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit organization established in 1996 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. Founded and managed by Afghan professionals, ADF is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable communities through humanitarian assistance, sustainable development, and resilience-building initiatives.
With nearly three decades of experience, ADF has implemented projects across all regions of Afghanistan, including rural, remote, and hard-to-reach areas. The organization works in a wide range of sectors, including women’s empowerment, livelihoods, food security, humanitarian response, legal aid, education, community development, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, construction and rehabilitation, and social cohesion.
ADF works closely with communities, government institutions, UN agencies, donors, and development partners to deliver impactful, accountable, and sustainable interventions. Guided by principles of integrity, transparency, and community participation, ADF remains dedicated to strengthening resilience, improving livelihoods, and supporting the long-term development of Afghanistan.
