Job Description

The Faculty of Computer Science at Mustaqbal University is seeking a qualified Lecturer to deliver high-quality instruction in Computer Science. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, preparing lesson plans and learning materials, and applying effective teaching methods to ensure student engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.

The role includes designing and evaluating assignments, quizzes, and examinations, monitoring student progress, and maintaining academic records. The Lecturer is also expected to contribute to curriculum development, participate in academic meetings, and support departmental academic activities.

In addition, the position involves engaging in research activities, publishing scholarly work, and providing academic guidance and mentorship to students. The Lecturer will ensure classroom discipline and uphold academic standards in accordance with university policies and the Ministry of Higher Education regulations.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science with specialization in Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, or Database Systems from a recognized university or institute. A PhD in a relevant field will be preferred. All academic degrees must be attested by the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan. Original academic transcripts are required.

EXPERIENCE:
2–4 years of teaching or training experience in Computer Science subjects.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent in spoken and written English, Dari, and Pashto.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, and related tools for lecture delivery and academic work).

PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Hard-working, honest, and committed with strong teaching and communication skills.
