PU-AMI (known globally as Première Urgence Internationale, PUI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organization. Work Relationship

Responsibilities and particular assignmentsمسؤلیت ها و وظایف مشخص

Main Duties & Responsibilities: مسؤلیت های عمومی

Conduct nutrition screening of all children 0-59 months and PLW women.
Conduct appetite tests for all beneficiaries identified as SAM and MAM before registration into the nutrition program and during follow-up.
Classification of all Under five children in categories of well nourished, Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).
Conduct regular growth monitoring of under two children, and MIYCN counseling for caregiver of Under two children, and registration of all relevant beneficiaries,
Registration of beneficiaries into OPD SAM, OPD-MAM (children and PLWs) program and frequent follow-up until exit from the program as per the national IMAM guidelines.
Fill out the admission card of OPD-SAM, OPD-MAM children and OPD-MAM PLWs,
Regularly conduct nutrition education sessions for caregivers of malnourished children
Regular collection of nutrition data at the health facility level.
Development of a nutrition filling system at the health facility level for all data collection tools.
Regular distribution of nutrition supplies (RUTF, RUSF, and Super cereal plus/LNS) for SAM and MAM treatment.
Conduct an appetite test for malnourished children,
Timely submission of therapeutic food distribution reports on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.

· To make sure that IMAM guidelines are respected.

Conduct regular food demonstration sessions at the health facility,
Timely preparation and submission of monthly statistics, biweekly, weekly, and stock reports.
Participation and leading the nutrition team during the mass MUAC screening campaign every quarter.
Coordination with the community screener and mobilizer for the defaulter tracing and active case finding,
To accurately and appropriately treat or refer beneficiaries in the nutrition program by adhering to national and international guidelines and organizational procedures.
Give appropriate nutrition, health, and hygiene education to the beneficiaries and caretakers in individual and group sessions.
Discharge children, pregnant, and lactating women according to specified discharge criteria and national protocol and guidelines.
Providing a monthly health education plan and regular follow-up, and conducting education sessions,
Ensure accurate record keeping of all nutrition activities, filling in forms, cards, registration books, and tally sheets as required.
Referring mothers with malnourished children to psychosocial support,
Proper teamwork and good coordination with the team,
Providing monthly, biweekly, and weekly nutrition activities report (OPD-SAM, OPD-MAM, OPD-MAM-PLWS, GM, MIYCN, Health Education, and stock) reports,

Perform other duties as assigned by the line supervisor,

Education Background:

Diploma/Certificate of Nursing with verified exit exam,

Work Experience:

At least 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience or at least 2 years of experience in nutrition training/experience (i.e., IMAM &MIYCN training or equivalent)
Psychosocial support counseling skills or experience
Experience in working in remote areas with the mobile and Health and Nutrition team setup
Residency is an asset.
Familiarity with context is an asset
