Job Descriptions:
  • The Medicine Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the procurement, storage, distribution, and monitoring of medicines, medical supplies, and consumables across health facilities, clinics, mobile health teams, and project locations.
  • The position will lead the development and consolidation of essential medicines and medical consumables lists based on program needs, treatment protocols, and Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) requirements.
  • The Coordinator will work closely with medical teams, pharmacists, procurement, logistics, warehouse staff, donors, suppliers, and health authorities to ensure the timely availability and uninterrupted supply of quality-assured medicines and medical commodities.
  • Key responsibilities include forecasting and quantification of medicine needs, stock monitoring, supply chain coordination, inventory management, distribution planning, cold chain oversight where applicable, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and organizational procedures.
  • The Medicine Coordinator will monitor stock levels, prevent stock-outs and expiries, support field clinics and health facilities in medicines management, prepare supply chain reports, and strengthen systems for accountability, quality assurance, and efficient utilization of medical resources.
  • The role will also provide technical guidance to field teams on pharmaceutical management practices and support emergency medical supply responses when required.
Job Requirements:
  • Medical doctor, nurse, or public health graduate.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in health or nutrition programmingst.
  • Rong technical and coordination skills.
  • English excellent, Dari and Pashtu fluent.
