Job Descriptions:
  1. Position Overview:

 

The Senior Training and Curriculum Officer will be responsible for designing, preparing, and delivering both online and offline training programs for Teach For Afghanistan. Additionally, they will create, review and improve the organization's training curriculums and strategies. Furthermore, the Training and Curriculum Officer will oversee the establishment and operation of Teach For Afghanistan's first online trainings. They will also provide regular training to fellows, alumni, and staff members.

 

  1. Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for Teach For Afghanistan's fellows, alumni, and staff members, both online and offline.
  2. Assess training needs and develop customized training plans to address identified gaps and requirements.
  3. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of training materials and methodologies.
  4. Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods.
  5. Review and update existing training curriculums and strategies to align with evolving organizational goals, educational standards, and best practices.
  6. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments of training programs to measure effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Develop and maintain an online learning platform for Teach For Afghanistan, including the establishment and management of the organization's first online school.
  8. Train fellows, alumni, and staff members on the use of online learning tools and platforms, ensuring effective utilization and engagement.
  9. Provide ongoing support and guidance to participants enrolled in online courses, addressing any technical or instructional issues that may arise.
  10. Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to collect data and feedback on training programs, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  11. Stay updated on current trends, research, and innovations in education and training to incorporate relevant advancements into Teach For Afghanistan's programs.
  12. Prepare trainings report and impact reports on monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually basis.
  13. Any other task assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements:
  1. Qualifications and Skills:

 

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, preferably in the education sector.
  3. Strong understanding of curriculum development principles, adult learning theories, and instructional design methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in online learning platforms and tools, as well as experience in developing and managing online courses or schools.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform decision-making and program improvement.
  7. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  8. Commitment to educational equity, social justice, and the mission and values of Teach For Afghanistan.

 

  1. Reporting Structure: The Training and Curriculum Officer will report directly to the Directors of Impact Growth & Partnerships within Teach For Afghanistan. They will work closely with other members of the Programs team, as well as stakeholders across the organization.
