Cure Hospital is a charitable foundation dedicated to meeting the medical needs of economically disadvantaged patients and their families. The purpose of Cure Hospital, Kabul is to provide excellent health services and training in the health provision. Cure Hospital has been present in Afghanistan since February 2005. We have training programs in Family medicine and pathology all of which are recognized by the MOPH.

Job Descriptions:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Family Medicine Program Director, the Medical Officer for family medicine department are responsible for:

Daily ward rounds on their patients and the continued daily care of the patients
OPD, IPD care of the patients and any other jobs which are allocated from family medicine department
Attendance at daily teaching sessions – morning report and lunch hour lectures
On-call duties
Preparing case presentation and lectures
Participate in any audit or research projects which are assigned by family medicine department

Medical officer position Objectives:

Medical officer position is for short term initiative aimed at capacity building and enhancing professional skill of national doctors doctors in order to help them understand and practice evidence based medicine, thus improving the quality of medical care and health education received by all patients regardless of age or gender, throughout Afghanistan
To provide well-educated and skilled medical officers who can Manage, participate and refer to the relevant specialty.

Job Requirements:

Requires an MD degree and registration with the MoPH
Must passed Afghanistan Medical Council exit exam.
Adherence to the values of Cure Hospital which include honesty and professionalism in all dealings with patients, their relatives, and other hospital staff.
Ability to use computer to enter data, write reports etc.
Able to admit mistakes and work well in a team.
Good communication skills.
