Job Descriptions:

The ECE Project Manager will be responsible to manage the ECE Project in Farah from its assessment and establishment stages to training and implementation, monitoring and handover stages keeping a close follow up with field team about the progress in project plan and the risks involved and how those risks will be addressed. The incumbent will also be responsible for handling project budget related activities with the finance and field team and the donor for budget compliance, reporting and other related activities and requirements of the donor and provincial and authorities. The Officer will train, and capacitate field level teams about project implementation and reporting and make sure the working relationship between HVSO field team, Farah PED and other related authorities and stakeholders are strong and cooperative. He/ She has to develop reports, present findings and progress, and draw conclusions about the project progress and its implementation in the field. The officer will also communicate with the donor and relevant authorities for a MoU, Reporting, Budget and staff related matters.

 

Job Requirements:
  1. Collection of the existing ECE Training related material through a comprehensive material collection process from MoE, INGOs, UNICEF and other National NGOs in close coordination with UNICEF technical support and in coordination with MOE/PED professional development teams.
  2. Review, integrate, and finalize one final ECE Training Manual, get it reviewed from UNICEF, MoE related technical department and finalize through a comprehensive technical process with UNICEF technical support and in coordination with MoE/PED Teachers’ Professional Development team.

 

  1. Make sure the ECE training manual includes all the requirement of the Ministry of Education’s technical directorates and UNICEF standards about ECE.

 

  1. Train the ECE Master trainers on the ECE training manual before the MTs apply it to the newly registered ECE trainers in the field.

 

  1. Work closely with the ECE project team in Farah and Kabul to train them how the ECE project will be implemented, reported and in line with the given timeline and budget.

 

  1. Design an ECE kit that will include the learning material, stationary, toys and other learning items required for an ECE kit which will later be procured and distributed to the trained ECE beneficiaries in Farah for their future use ensuring that the trained beneficiaries can utilize these kits when they get jobs at MoE/private schools or at other community-based structures.  

 

  1. Sign and adhere to HVSO’s internal policies on PSEA, CoC, Gender, and Child Safeguarding and Protection.
  2. Any other tasks assigned by the Director

 

Deliverables:

  1. ECE Training Manual Developed and Finalized  
  2. ECE Master Trainers Trained
  3. ECE Project team trained on ECE project and Training Material/Manual
  4. ECE Training manual presented and approved from MoE Teachers’ Professional Development Team.
  5. Available to Adjust any changes or feedback during the training or after.
