Job Descriptions:

Working under the supervision of the MYC Coordinator, the Freelance Trainer provide training to adolescent and youth on freelancing, assesses training needs; plans or participates in developing training course objectives; obtains training materials; presents training/instruction to both groups and individuals; evaluates training effectiveness; may oversee maintenance of training records

Job Requirements:

The Freelance Trainer will mainly be responsible for the following:

  1. Training Delivery:
  • Design and deliver interactive and engaging training sessions tailored to the needs of youth at the Multipurpose Youth Center.
  • Focus on skill-building in specific areas such as, communication, e-vocational skills, and related programs such as Fiver etc.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure knowledge and skill improvement.
  • Document training activities, attendance, and outcomes, and prepare detailed reports for the center management.
  • Adapt training methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and cultural sensitivities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to participants to help them apply learned skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Identify potential leaders among the participants and support their growth through tailored training activities.
  1. Curriculum Development:
  • Develop comprehensive and practical training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and handouts.
  • Ensure training content aligns with the center’s objectives and participants’ needs, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  1. Youth Engagement:
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive training environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
  • Regularly follow-up with Graduated trainees and ensure active mentorship is provided through out the securing of their first freelance project
  • Motivate participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the training to their personal and professional development.

    Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in relevant disciplines (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, English Literature)
  • Additional qualification or certification in Diploma in Freelancing
  • In-depth understanding of diverse Freelancing programs
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in Freelancing programs
  • Capacity to work with young people from diverse cultural background.
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, families, and communities
  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages (Dari, English) proficiency in other languages will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to develop culturally sensitive materials and adapt interventions to local contexts.
  • Proficiency in reporting, data collection, and analysis to monitor the effectiveness of PSS interventions.
