- Ability to speak fluently and professionally in Dari, and moderate in English
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional driving experience
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma (university certificate is an advantage)
- Demonstrated strong defensive driving skills: ability to control a vehicle as safely as possible in light of geographical and weather conditions
- Demonstrated ability to work well with in inter-cultural environments
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions under critical circumstances
Required Languages:
- Fluent Dari
- Good command of English
Skills & Competencies
- Must be in good physical and health and present professionally at all times
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes, most importantly in Herat city
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- High level of punctuality, responsibility, and trustworthiness
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve driving for extended periods while on travel out of the duty station
- Willing to work weekends, evenings, and nights on a rotational basis under a planned shift system
- Role will require travel to remote areas with irregular working hours
