Position Summary
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems for the project. The officer will support data collection, indicator tracking, quality monitoring of training activities, beneficiary feedback mechanisms, and reporting in line with UNICEF standards.
The MEAL Officer will work closely with the Project Manager, trainers, and community mobilizers to ensure accurate data management, performance monitoring, and evidence-based program improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and Data Management
- Develop and implement project monitoring tools and data collection systems.
- Maintain accurate beneficiary registration and attendance records.
- Track project indicators and ensure gender-disaggregated data collection.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to training sites.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
- Analyze monitoring data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and final reports.
- Ensure timely reporting of project progress to the Project Manager and Programme team.
Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP)
- Support the implementation of Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms (CFM/GRM).
- Maintain confidential records of complaints and ensure timely follow-up.
- Conduct beneficiary satisfaction surveys and focus group discussions.
Learning and Quality Improvement
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Provide recommendations to improve training quality and programme effectiveness.
- Support internal review meetings and learning sessions.
Safeguarding and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UNICEF safeguarding, PSEA, and data protection standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive beneficiary information.
- Support monitoring of safeguarding compliance in training centers.
