2. Objective of the Assignment
The consultant will strengthen clinical capacity in cervical cancer screening and thermal ablation through structured, competency-based training, ensuring adherence to national guidelines, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
The consultant will:
- Work under the supervision of the SWCSC Project Manager or designated Team Leader.
- Deliver field-based training on cervical cancer screening and thermal therapy.
- Conduct practical, hands-on sessions on:
- VIA/VILI screening and interpretation
- Eligibility assessment for thermal ablation
- Step-by-step thermal ablation procedures
- Equipment operation and safety
- Reinforce Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards.
- Train participants on:
- Client counseling (pre- and post-procedure)
- Informed consent procedures
- Complication identification and referral pathways
- Conduct competency assessments using standardized checklists.
- Administer pre- and post-training evaluations.
- Ensure accurate documentation practices among trainees.
- Submit a final technical training report.
4. Training Methodology and Approach
The consultant is expected to apply:
- Interactive presentations
- Case-based learning
- Demonstrations
- Supervised hands-on practice
- Competency-based evaluation
- Pre- and post-test assessment
Training must be practical, standards-based, and aligned with recognized clinical guidelines. Sessions will be conducted in Dari and/or Pashto as appropriate for participants.
5. Duration of Assignment
One (1) month from contract signing, including preparation, training delivery, and submission of final report.

The consultant will submit:
- Training agenda and materials
- Attendance sheets with signatures
- Pre- and post-test results
- Competency assessment summaries
- Training photographs
- Final report including recommendations
- Signed service completion documentation
