Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

An Inventory Officer manages, tracks, and reconciles stock levels to ensure accuracy, prevent shortages, and optimize warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, and storing goods, updating inventory databases, performing regular audits, and preparing reports, requiring strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Inventory Control: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and detailed records of inventory, including classification, labeling, and storage, while monitoring stock turnover rates.
  • Receiving & Shipping: Inspecting incoming shipments for quantity and quality against purchase orders and facilitating the distribution or transfer of goods to departments.
  • Reporting & Reconciliation: Performing regular physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies with digital records, generating reports, and analyzing trends to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Warehouse Management: Organizing storage facilities efficiently to ensure safety, security, and easy retrieval of goods.
  • Compliance & Coordination: Ensuring compliance with internal policies, safety standards, and coordinating with purchasing and procurement teams.
Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in inventory management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, databases, and inventory software/ERP systems is essential.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
