Position Summary:
The Project Assistant – Child Protection supports the implementation of child protection projects by assisting with day-to-day activities, coordination, documentation, and reporting.
The role contributes to the timely and quality delivery of assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, while ensuring child protection and safeguarding principles are followed in all project activities.
The position works closely with the Child Protection team and relevant stakeholders to support effective project implementation and compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Reports to: Child Protection Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of child protection projects in line with approved plans and donor requirements.
- Assist in the delivery of assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, including education support, supplies, and other project activities.
- Support project planning, activity tracking, and basic budgeting follow-up under supervision.
- Assist in coordination with partners, schools, community representatives, and other stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Support the preparation of narrative and activity reports by collecting data, success stories, and documentation.
- Assist in monitoring project activities, outputs, and beneficiary feedback to ensure accountability and quality.
- Ensure safeguarding, child protection, and protection principles are respected and applied during all activities.
- Participate in needs assessments, monitoring visits, and field activities as required.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, beneficiary records, and files in accordance with organizational policies.
- Support the organization of meetings, trainings, workshops, and distributions related to child protection projects.
- Assist in data entry, tracking indicators, and maintaining project databases and tools.
- Support coordination meetings and represent the organization when delegated by supervisors.
- Comply with organizational policies, donor guidelines, and national regulations at all times.
- Travel to project locations as required to support field implementation and monitoring.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of child protection programs.
