Job Descriptions:

A. Dispensing & Patient Service

  • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Ensure prescriptions are complete, legible, and verified before dispensing.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding dosage and administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and always ensure patient safety.

B. Inventory & Supply Management

  • Receive, store, and arrange medications according to standards.
  • Check expiry dates regularly and report soon-to-expire or low-stock items.
  • Assist in completing stock counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure cold-chain medications are stored and monitored properly.

C. Documentation & System Use

  • Enter prescription data accurately into the hospital system (if need).
  • Maintain daily dispensing logs and medication transaction records.
  • Report any discrepancies, errors, or system issues to the supervisor.

D. Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and medication management guidelines.
  • Assist in preventing dispensing errors through double-checking and good practice.
  • Participate in infection prevention and control (IPC) measures.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.

E. Additional Duties

  • Support pharmacists during peak hours and emergencies.
  • Participate in training, audits, and departmental meetings.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • B. Pharm or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institute.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacology, dosage forms, and drug storage.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
