The Food Security Expert will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of food security and livelihood interventions. The role aims to improve household food security, resilience, and sustainable livelihoods among vulnerable communities in line with organizational and donor strategies.

Conduct food security, livelihood, and market assessments to identify needs, gaps, and opportunities.

Design and support implementation of food security and livelihood programs, including cash-based interventions, agriculture, livestock, and income-generation activities.

Provide technical guidance and capacity building to project teams and partners on food security approaches and best practices.

Ensure integration of cross-cutting themes such as gender, protection, climate resilience, and nutrition.

Monitor project progress, analyze data, and ensure activities meet donor and organizational standards.

Prepare technical reports, assessments, proposals, and donor updates related to food security programming.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders including government authorities, clusters, NGOs, and community representatives.

Support emergency response activities related to food insecurity, drought, displacement, or shocks.

Ensure compliance with humanitarian principles, safeguarding policies, and accountability standards.
