Key Responsibilities
1 Project Planning and Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including goals, objectives, timelines, work plans, and resource allocation.
- Define clear project milestones, deliverables, and implementation strategies.
- Coordinate and manage all project activities to ensure alignment with the approved project plan and donor agreements.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor progress against agreed targets.
2 Monitoring, Reporting, and Meetings
- Conduct regular project status meetings with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit timely progress reports, including narrative and activity updates, to management and donors.
- Track project indicators and ensure proper documentation of outputs and outcomes.
3 Risk Management and Quality Assurance
- Identify potential risks, challenges, and implementation gaps that may affect project delivery.
- Proactively develop and implement mitigation measures to address identified risks.
- Ensure project activities meet quality standards and donor compliance requirements.
4 Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
- Engage with key stakeholders, including youth organizations, educational institutions, local authorities, and community representatives, to promote project objectives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with external partners, sponsors, and implementing counterparts.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project staff, partners, and stakeholders.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project progress, achievements, and challenges.
5 Financial Management and Resource Mobilization
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring efficient and transparent allocation of resources.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor financial guidelines.
- Coordinate with the finance team to track budget utilization and resolve variances.
- Identify and support efforts to secure funding, grants, and sponsorships for project sustainability.
6 Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
- Define project evaluation criteria in line with donor frameworks and organizational standards.
- Regularly assess project outcomes, effectiveness, and impact.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and challenges for knowledge sharing and institutional learning.
- Provide practical recommendations for continuous improvement and future project initiatives.
