Job Descriptions:

 

  • Maintains constant vigilance against potential or actual security breaches, disturbances, or unusual activities affecting the UNFPA Country Office, and promptly reports incidents to the supervisor.
  • Supports monitoring of compliance with the Security Risk Management (SRM) measures established for the duty station, including assisting with the compilation of required SRM data.
  • Helps ensure the security of office premises and grounds, responds to emergencies affecting safety, and immediately reports urgent issues to the supervisor.
  • Provides security support for field missions when required.
  • Assists in implementing actions outlined in the Security Plan, as necessary.
  • Contributes to incident reporting by documenting and reporting security events affecting UNFPA personnel, offices, and assets.
  • Ensures proper functioning of all assigned security equipment and promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintains the Country Office bunker and emergency storage room, conducting regular inspections to ensure readiness.
  • Participates in evacuation, fire, emergency response, and bunker drills, assisting in their organization and execution.
  • Acts as fire warden during fire incidents within office premises.
  • Provides administrative support to the National Security Analyst.
  • Performs receptionist duties when required.
  • Carries out other related tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Secondary Education is required.
Prior experience with the UN system or aninternational NGO is desirable.
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience insecurity is required.
Working knowledge of English – both written andoral is required.
Knowledge of the local language Dari and/or Pashtois required.
Computer literacy.
First Aid/ Emergency Trauma Bag (ETB)Qualifi cation.
Experience with video surveillance equipment,radio, and other telecommunication equipment.
