JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Branch Manager at the Muslim English Language Institute is responsible for managing the overall activities of the institute's branch. This includes overseeing operations, staff management, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the branch. The Assistant Branch Manager will work closely with the counselor, finance executive, and other stakeholders to enhance the delivery of services, increase student enrollment, and create a positive learning environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

           

  • Managing overall activities related to the MELI branch, including operations and staff management.
  • Conduct Daily morning briefings and assign tasks and targets to their respective teams.
  • Working with the counselor to devise strategies for increasing the number of new students and creating new classes.
  • Collaborating with the counselor to enhance the delivery of services to new students.
  • Working closely with the finance executive to improve communication with students and increase conversion rates.
  • Creating classes and timetables, ensuring effective scheduling and coverage.
  • Checking teachers' availability, class timings, and arranging cover-ups when necessary.
  • Processing related ERP tasks, including class extension dates, discount processes, and retake student discount processes.
  • Approving all requests made by finance executives.
  • Managing the purchase of required goods for the branch.
  • Conducting daily checks of cashbooks in ERP and hard copies.
  • Ensuring accurate creation of payroll and salary disbursement.
  • Preparing overall reports, including revenue, student numbers, and other operational reports, and submitting them to top management.
  • Handling interactions with other educational institutes, entities, and families of students to enhance MELI's public image.
  • Resolving conflicts among students and addressing queries from students and their families regarding main campus services.
  • Resolving conflicts within the neighborhood, such as those related to guards and parking issues.
  • Conducting monthly meetings with operation staff (guards, cleaners) to ensure their tasks are performed well and students are treated appropriately.
  • Dealing with various stakeholders regarding admission, student affairs, and government meetings.
  • Providing training and coaching to subordinates in the ERP system, ethics, and behavior.
  • Receiving teachers' performance reports and offering constructive feedback to enhance their performance.
  • Managing the hostel, ensuring cleanliness, and increasing teachers' satisfaction.
  • Ensuring maximum branch security is maintained.
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the branch.
  • Training newly recruited teachers on behavior, MELI policies, classroom management, and student treatment.
  • Participating in graduation ceremonies to engage students and offer career counseling.
  • Adherence to MELI policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and productive working experience.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the COO.
Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in BBA, Education, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of managerial experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, internet usage, business communication, and ERP systems.
  • Possess qualities of humility, maturity, respectfulness, honesty, and integrity.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Have command of both National Languages (Dari & Pashto)
