Job Summary:
The Head of Commercial is responsible for implementing and managing initiatives that drive non-funded income and overall revenue growth and expanding the bank’s commercial product offerings across the branch network. The role focuses on mobilizing deposits from both retail and corporate customers, increasing usage of banking products such as MasterCard, AFPAY Cards, Western Union, and TTs, and expanding the uptake of other commercial services across the bank’s network. This position works closely with branches, business teams, and operations to meet assigned targets and continuously improve commercial performance.
Position’s Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute all initiatives to increase non-funded income through commercial services such as cards, remittances, and value-added banking products.
- Support the growth of both retail and corporate deposit bases through direct engagement, campaigns, and strategic coordination with branch teams and relationship managers.
- Drive usage and sales growth of commercial banking products. Manage and expand money transfer services such as Western Union, MoneyGram and Telegraphic Transfers, Cards and increasing volume and customer reach.
- Ensure commercial performance and sales targets are consistently met across the bank's network.
- Collaborate with branch teams to ensure effective delivery and promotion of commercial products and services.
- Continuously monitor financial market developments and provide insights that inform pricing, sales strategies, and product positioning.
- Assist in raising awareness and boosting usage of commercial services among new and existing customers.
- Track KPIs, prepare regular reports, and present actionable insights to the Chief Business Officer of the Bank.
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory and internal policies, especially those related to commercial and retail banking operations.
- Work closely with branch teams to implement commercial campaigns, resolve issues, and support daily operations related to product delivery.
- Collaborate with branches and digital banking teams to ensure seamless delivery of commercial services through all touchpoints.
- Close coordination with Treasury Team, proactively identify FX deals from the market. Maintain up to date knowledge of local and international currency trends, pricing, and competitive dynamics
- Lead, coach, and develop high performing relationship managers. Foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to design and enhance products and services tailored to the needs of commercial clients.
