Job Descriptions:

ESA Organization, with support from UNESCO, is implementing a two-month project to conduct 3D scanning of archaeological artifacts and rapid assessment of cultural heritage sites affected by recent earthquakes. The Project Manager will lead implementation and ensure quality and timely delivery.

The Finance Assistant will support the project’s financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely tracking of expenses in alignment with ESA policies and UNESCO financial requirements.

Job Requirements:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records for all project expenditures.
  • Prepare payment requests, payroll, and procurement-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with donor financial guidelines and internal controls.
  • Support the Project Manager in budget tracking and cash flow management.
  • Maintain receipts, invoices, contracts, and financial logs.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for submission to UNESCO.
  • Coordinate with procurement and admin teams to ensure proper documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Familiarity with NGO/donor financial procedures (UN experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in standard financial softwares “QuickBooks” .

Skills & Competencies

  • Integrity and strong ethical standards.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto and/or Dari.
