1. Job Summary
The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for managing and supervising all civil construction activities at the project site. This role ensures that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines while maintaining quality, safety, and cost control. The engineer will coordinate with the project team, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth execution of works, timely progress reporting, and adherence to all technical and safety standards.
2. Objective of the Assignment
To oversee and monitor civil works on-site, ensuring construction activities meet the required standards of quality, safety, and schedule as per the project’s design and contract documents.
3. Scope of Work / Duties and Responsibilities
The Civil Site Engineer will:
- Supervise and manage daily construction activities at the site.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical or site issues.
- Conduct inspections and quality control tests (e.g., concrete, soil compaction).
- Monitor material usage and verify delivery against specifications.
- Maintain site records including work progress, material logs, and test results.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and interim payment certificates.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input when required.
- Support the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation at project closeout.
