Job Descriptions:

Job Summary: The Data Manager – Supply Chain is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining all data related to supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, transportation, and distribution. The incumbent ensures the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of supply chain data and provides analytical insights to support informed decision-making. The Data Manager will work closely with logistics, procurement, and warehouse teams to optimize supply chain performance, enhance transparency, and ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, validate, and maintain all supply chain-related data, including procurement, inventory, transportation, and distribution records.
  • Develop and manage databases, dashboards, and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the supply chain.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and risks, and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure all data is accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational reporting standards
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on supply chain performance and share with relevant departments and management.
  • Support donor and audit reporting requirements by ensuring accurate and timely submission of supply chain data.
  • Maintain electronic and physical documentation of all supply chain transactions in compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure data consistency across departments.
  • Support the automation and digitalization of supply chain systems for better efficiency and transparency.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on supply chain data entry, reporting tools, and database management systems.
  • Coordinate with IT and system administrators to ensure data security, integrity, and backup procedures are properly implemented.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure compliance with internal policies, donor guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct periodic data audits and verifications to identify discrepancies and correct them.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards in handling sensitive information.
Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in data management, supply chain analytics, or logistics information systems.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and database management tools.
  • Knowledge of procurement, inventory, and logistics procedures in humanitarian or development organizations is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Pashto/Dari) required.
