The Financing Coordinator in HASSEL microfinance institution is responsible for overseeing the Financing Operations, ensuring effective assessment, approval, disbursement, and recovery of Financing. The role involves developing Financing policies, analyzing Financing risks, and ensuring portfolio quality while maintaining compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
The scope of work of the financing coordinator covers the following specific areas:
- Credit Assessment and Approval:
- Evaluate financing applications, conduct risk analysis, and ensure accurate Financing appraisals.
- Approve financing within authorized limits and recommend larger Financing for higher-level approvals.
- Ensure adherence to lending policies and procedures.

- Financing Portfolio Management
- Review all financing proposals before conducting MFC.
- Promote financing products
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct field visits and networking activities.
- Capacity Building & Staff Supervision.
- Manage and lead a team of financing officers and regional supervisors in all regions
- Train and mentor financing officers to enhance their financing analysis skills
- Conduct performance evaluations and set clear KPIs for the financing team.
- Promote a strong ethical and performance-driven culture within the institution
- Analyze clients' repayment capacity and propose suitable financing structures.
- Relationship Management
- Coordinate and manage the Internal Review Committee and schedule MFC meetings, work in collaboration with Credit Administration.
- Hold primary responsibility for the complete Financing cycle of all the HASSELL`s clients.
- Work closely with other units to ensure the timely disbursement and repayment of financing.
- Collaborate with Risk Management to evaluate and manage a portfolio of financing.
- periodically review financing products and changes in the market; make suggestions for changes.

- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit operations, portfolio performance, and risk assessments.
- Analyze delinquency trends and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
