LEGAL STATUS

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

Job Descriptions:

Provide direct medical care to patients in accordance with national and international clinical guidelines.
Diagnose, treat, and follow up on acute and chronic medical conditions.
Assist in managing emergencies and referrals in coordination with senior medical staff.
Supervise and support health staff (nurses, CHWs, etc.) in clinical practice and health education.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and reporting.
Monitor the availability of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
Participate in community health outreach, vaccination campaigns, and awareness sessions.
Collaborate with local health authorities and stakeholders when required.
Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) measures are followed at all times.
Submit regular reports to the Medical Coordinator or Health Program Manager.

Job Requirements:

Medical Doctor (MD) degree from a recognized university.
Valid medical license to practice in Afghanistan.
Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in humanitarian or NGO settings.
Knowledge of national health policies and protocols.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; working knowledge of English is preferred.
