What is the Second-Entry Professional Undergraduate Degree?

A second entrance degree is an academic degree that needs at least 1-2 years of university studies and, in certain cases, 3 years for research-oriented programs. It is most usually used to refer to Canadian and American shows. As a prerequisite for entrance, these programs need 3-4 years of degree-seeking work or a first professional degree or first-entry degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have the following:

  • If you are a student and can complete your undergraduate degree by August 2025, you are eligible to apply.
  • You graduated with your first bachelor’s degree within the last five years (no earlier than January 2019).
  • be 30 years old or younger and will have gotten your first bachelor’s degree more than five years prior.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

Proof of proficiency:

  • Minimum acceptable TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores are:
    • There is no longer a CBT available. As ETS no longer reports CBT results, CBT results will no longer be accepted.
    • Nota Bene: The institutional TOEFL is not accepted.
    • IBT: 86 overall, with a minimum score of 20 for each of the four component categories.
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Academic module, band score of 6.5 or above.
  • McGill Certificate of Proficiency – English for Professional Communication or McGill Certificate of Proficiency in English: Certificate of Proficiency granted.
  • Please be aware that McGill University does not recognize the Duolingo English Test (DET) for admission to graduate programs.
