Eligibility Criteria

The general requirements for the Emory University Scholar Programs are as follows:

• Applicants should choose one of the three admission decision plans (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision)

International Curriculum: Competitive curricula include International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), and British A-Levels. Financial Aid for International Students: Need-based financial aid is available for a select group of international students each year. Applicants for financial assistance must submit accurate financial documentation.

International students must provide proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses, such as a bank statement or financial institution note. Those applying for financial aid should complete the Documentation of Finances accurately.

US Immigration: Admitted students should wait for visa documents before traveling. All international students must register as full-time students each semester, except for summer. A valid passport or official travel document is required.

Insurance: Medical insurance is mandatory. Enrolled international students are automatically included in Emory’s Accident and Sickness Insurance plan unless they have equivalent coverage.

• The university selects approximately 175-200 students as Scholar Program Finalists
• Finalists must attend an on-campus Scholars Finalists Visit in the spring

• Applicants not selected as finalists are still considered for other merit-based scholarships and admission

How to Apply?
