• To accurately screen and appropriately treat or refer beneficiaries in the health & nutrition program by adhering to national and international guidelines and organizational procedures.
• To ensure accurate record keeping of all activities following the provided data collection templates.
• To ensure safe storage and handling of the stock (nutrition commodities, medicines, medical supplies and equipment)
• Assist the BHC medical doctor in general OPD, medicine dispensary, and updating different register books.
• Provide dressing services for trauma and injuries cases.
• Nursing care such as injection and IV fluid administration for those cases which required.
• Support the nutrition counselor in performing OPD-SAM, OPD-MAM, Growth Monitoring, and Nutrition Education.
• Assist the medical doctor and HF staff for pharmacy management/ stock cards updating and reporting.
• Support the nutrition counselor in the process of service delivery and coordination,
• Filling of OPD-SAM/MAM register books as required.
• Oversee the requesting distribution and return of nutrition stock (food medications equipment) and accurately complete the stock management protocols/forms.
• Provide accurate and appropriate follow up including assessment and treatment of all beneficiaries.
• Distribution of RUTF RUSF and Super cereal based on the supervisor advice
Update RUTF RUSF and other Supplementary food (Super Cereal Flour) consumptions.
• Regular update of files (OPD-SAM treatment Cards referral sheets from community & follow up
cards).
• Regular recording, preparing and submission of food distribution report on daily Weekly and monthly basis.
• Admit beneficiaries to OPD SAM or MAM according to admission criteria,
observe appetite test and support care takers in feeding the children.
• Examine admitted children and pregnant and lactating women and provide appropriate nutritional and medical treatment following National IMAM and other guidelines where necessary.
• Examine admitted children for any signs of co-existing illnesses and provide appropriate nutritional and medical treatment or referral according to any necessary guidelines.
• Cooperate with the doctor in distribution of medicine to the patients and record keeping or stock management as pharmacy assistant.
• Administer Vitamin A if the child has not received Vitamin A supplementation during the previous NID.
• Maintain record and documentation of discharge children and pregnant and lactating women according to specified discharge criteria.
Assist the health facility doctor in pharmacy management including dispensing medicines to clients, updating stock cards, reporting and documentation of pharmacy related activities & reporting, do dressing and attend emergency male clients and do primary healthcare OPD in absence of the doctor.
For nutrition program in the health facility, examine admitted children and pregnant and lactating women and provide appropriate nutritional and medical treatment following National IMAM and other guidelines where necessary.
Examine admitted children for any signs of co-existing illnesses and provide appropriate nutritional and medical treatment or referral according to any necessary guidelines.
Support the nutrition counselor in performing OPD-SAM, OPD-MAM, Growth Monitoring, and Nutrition Education. Distribution of RUTF, RUSF and supplementary feeding commodities like super cereal and proper recording and documentation of all OPD-SAM/MAM register books as required.
