Citizen Organization for Advocacy and Resilience, COAR (formally Coordination of Afghan Relief) CoAR is an Afghan, independent, nonpolitical, non-sectarian, and non-for profit organization established in 1989 and registered formally with the ministry of Economy. COAR actively bridging between donors of humanitarian aid and rural Afghan communities severely affected by almost four decades of wars, internal conflicts, natural and manmade disasters, and complexities. COAR endeavors to reach the unreached and embark on strengthening local coping mechanisms to enable communities to find durable local solutions to their local problems and encourage self-reliance and sustainability. Job Descriptions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive education activity plans that align with project objectives and timelines.
  • Oversee the execution of educational programs, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed reports, including progress updates, donor reports, and internal documentation.
  • Collect, analyze, and document project data to evaluate the program’s impact and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to field teams, teachers, and community mobilizers to enhance teaching methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ECHO and COAR policies, guidelines, and accountability standards.
  • Monitor project activities, identify challenges, and propose evidence-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with government education authorities, NGOs, and local stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.
  • Organize and conduct capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and refresher courses for teachers.
  • Promote gender-sensitive and inclusive education approaches throughout program implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in education program planning, implementation, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Education in Emergencies (EiE) principles and best practices.
  • Experience working on humanitarian and donor-funded projects, particularly ECHO-funded initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and writing skills in English and local languages (Dari/Pashto).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project locations as needed.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating education programs.
  • Knowledge of child protection, psychosocial support, and inclusive education strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with donor compliance requirements and proposal development
