Job Descriptions:

The Role

The Nurse will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive medical and specialized care, administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and coordinating with medical officers and consultants to ensure efficient and integrated care delivery. Also, will ensure patient safety, offer emotional support, and provide information to patients and their attendants about the medical conditions, treatments, and care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and receive comprehensive bedside handovers at shift changes.
  • Deliver appropriate care to assigned patients based on individualized needs and medical advice.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and promptly report any changes or concerns to the attending MO/Consultant.
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately, including oral, intravenous, and injectable forms, while monitoring for and addressing any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate nursing notes, including medication records, care plans, and treatment outcomes.
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and perform blood sampling procedures in alignment with prescribed treatment plans.
  • Coordinate with other hospital departments and staff to address patient needs and promote efficient communication and workflow.
  • Respect patient rights and provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, helping them understand and cope with their medical conditions.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, ensuring patient safety at all times.
  • Coordinate discharge planning as advised to ensure patients and their families are prepared for the transition from hospital care to home care.
  • Adhere to ethical nursing practices, including informed consent, confidentiality, and providing nonjudgmental care in all patient interactions.
Job Requirements:
