Job Summary:
The Afghanistan Integrated Youth Activity's Multimedia Officer will play a crucial role in supporting CARE Afghanistan's communication and outreach strategies through the effective use of multimedia content. This position involves creating engaging visual narratives that showcase the AIYA Project and CARE Afghanistan’s impact and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aesthetic sense, technical expertise, cultural and contextual awareness and a deep commitment to humanitarian work.
Job Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Management:
- Produce professional multimedia content from project sites and events, ensuring impactful moments are documented.
- Edit and enhance multimedia content using advanced editing software, including color correction, audio enhancement, and graphics integration.
- Collaborate with AIYA Communication Working Group to develop compelling multimedia content (Including animation) that aligns with CARE’s mission and goals.
- Create Multimedia content for AIYA's social media platforms and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning team (Infographics, Documentaries, Animated videos, etc).
Field Engagement:
- Travel to project sites to gather content that highlight the AIYA project and CARE’s impact on communities.
Visibility and Branding:
- Ensure all multimedia content complies with AIYA's Branding Strategy & Marking Plan and CARE’s brand guidelines.
- Support the development and implementation of integrated communication and visibility plans.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with program teams and AIYA Communication Working Group led by the Media and Communication Advisor to create and disseminate quality multimedia products for both internal and external audiences.
- Assist in preparing multimedia materials for emergency responses, ensuring timely dissemination of relevant information.
