BRAC began its operation in Afghanistan in 2002, has been implementing its development programs in education, health, citizens’ charter Afghanistan programme as well as capacity development in the country.

Job Descriptions:

1.TVET Program Implementation:

Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of TVET programs in line with the objectives of the project.

Collaborate with vocational institutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs in market- relevant sectors.

Coordinate logistics and schedules for training programs and workshops for youth beneficiaries.

2.Curriculum Development and Capacity Building:

Support the development and adaptation of TVET curricula to align with local labour market needs. 

Provide support to TVET Institutes, including capacity-building initiatives, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of vocational training.

Promote gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches in the TVET curricula and training delivery.

3.Monitoring and Evaluation:

Assist in monitoring and evaluation of TVET activities to ensure effectiveness and alignment with project goals..

Assist in collecting, analyzing and reporting data on programme outcomes, including youth employment rates and employer satisfaction.

Conduct follow-up assessments of TVET graduates to track employment outcomes and gather feedback on program effectiveness.

4.Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development:

Build and maintain strong relationships with private TVET institutions, community leaders and local stakeholders.

Work closely with private sector partners to understand labor market needs and identify opportunities for apprenticeships, internships, and job placements for youth.

Collaborate with local community-based organizations and youth groups to raise awareness about TVET opportunities and encourage youth participation in training programs at provincial level

5.Youth Empowerment and Support:

Ensure that TVET programs are accessible to youth from vulnerable and marginalized groups, including young women and girls and youth with disabilities.

Promote youth leadership and entrepreneurship within TVET programs, supporting the development of skills that contribute to self-employment and community development.

6.Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of TVET program activities

Prepare reports on the implementation, progress, and outcomes of TVET programs, ensuring timely submission to the Provincial Manager and USAID.

Ensure that TVET program activities are aligned with the project’s goals, timelines, and budget.

7.Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with other project officers, and Provincial Manager to ensure the integration of TVET activities with other components of the Integrated Youth Activities Project 

Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the operational direction and improvement of the project.

8.Gender & Safeguarding

Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. 

Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

9.Any other tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with vocational training institutions, government stakeholders, and local communities.

• Familiarity with gender-sensitive approaches and the inclusion of marginalized groups in TVET and Education programmes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Fluency in English and local languages (Dari/Pashto) with excellent writing and reporting skills.

• Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
