Job Descriptions:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide assistance in relation to all NSS Operations as required
- Receive daily activity reports from Team Leaders on site (HQ), projects and related sources when required
- Maintain control and all records of weapons and related equipment, sensitive items (NVG’s, radios, B/armor, ballistic helmets, mags, ammo, vehicles, etc.) to ensure accountability in relation to NSS Logistics, Operational and Legal Policies
- Maintain Operational Inventory of all NSS Equipment at HQ and projects
- Create, manage and train all personnel on emergency procedures in relation to the HQ Operations and assist all projects in creating and managing their respective emergency procedures as required
- Manage and supervise all lock down, evacuation / extraction exercises at HQ and assist the projects when required
- Train all HQ personnel in the emergency procedures and assist the projects when required
- Responsible for Force Protection and OPSEC of all company related installations
- Liaison with MOI, GDI, NSC, Police and other stakeholders in security in Afghanistan
- Review all operations related training plans and objectives to ensure they meet requirements
- Provide threat level intelligence to NSS HQ and projects on a daily basis when necessary and update the Operational Incident Charts in HQ, daily
- Conduct SRA’s – Security Risk Assessments of the HQ and of all other NSS installations when required
- Assist the Project Support Unit and personnel in the service delivery to all projects as dictated by the operational requirements and / or as requested by senior management from time to time.
- Ensure that the HQ and all projects have SPM’s – Site Procedure Manuals in place and liaise with the Admin / Office and Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the SPM’s reflect the Client’s requirements and NSS contractual obligations in this regard
- Assist HR in conducting interviews and assessments of potential ASG – Armed Static Guards and related personnel for HQ or projects when required
- Training of all ASG and related operational personnel at HQ on an ongoing basis
- Provide theoretical and practical training classes for all personnel where necessary
- Submit the training results and records to HR Department
- Updating and implement training of HQ Personal
- Represent NSS HQ at all live shooting exercises on range locations and control all logistic planning for such exercises
- Book and manage shooting ranges for NSS staff on annual basis
- Responsible for the CCTV operations and personnel
- Control and management of the NSS HQ Control Room, equipment including weapons and ammunition and all Team Leaders / Watch keepers operating in the Control Room
- Manage both HQ kitchens, the staff deployed in said kitchens, the logistics in relation to food and equipment, the daily food deliveries to the projects as required
- Manage the Laundry, the staff deployed in said laundry, the logistics in relation to the cleaning of items and the timeous delivery of all cleaning items to the projects concerned
- Manage the HQ Offices and Residential areas of the NSS Villa and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the entire building
- Manage, guide and mentor the NSS Cleaning Personnel and ensure that they follow the specified cleaning regime as set out from time to time
- Ensure that the entire building is correctly equipped to withstand a breach of security and / or an emergency such as an explosion, fire, medical emergency or catastrophic natural disaster
- Ensure that all necessary signage is correctly displayed and emergency equipment is correctly placed throughout the HQ Building
- Manage the Maintenance personnel of the HQ Office and ensure that all maintenance issues are timeously resolved
- Assist the projects with maintenance issues if / when required
- Inspect all areas of the NSS Villa and compound on a daily basis to note problems and conduct preventative maintenance
- Manage, control, train and mentor all drivers and IBG’s allocated directly to the President and CEO on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Assist Logistics in relation to vehicle management and maintenance
- Assist Logistics in operational matters if and when required
- Assist all Departments in order to ensure that the Projects receive a superior level of service delivery at all times
- Maintain strong administrative records in relation to all of the above, at all times
- Ensure that all Operations Assistants are trained, guided and mentored on all of the above so that this person may be ready to step into your shoes at any time
- Conduct any / all legal duties outside the ambits of your JD as requested and required by senior management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related studies are required. A postgraduate degree in a related field is highly desirable.
- 7 years’ of extensive security experience is required in security operation management.
- Must be qualified in the use and training of weapons and all other security related fields.
- Must have driving license
- Be able to travel throughout Afghanistan if needed
- Strong communication, Leadership and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up the ones sleeves to get the job done.
- Advanced knowledge of spoken and written Dari, Pashto and English.
Advanced computer skills in basic office programs (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
