Afghanistan Relief and Sustainable Development Organization (ARSDO) is a national, non-profit development organization established in 2017 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (Registration No. 4190). Job Descriptions:

CDC officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring communicable disease control (CDC) activities within the cluster. Ensures disease surveillance, outbreak response, and reporting are aligned with MoPH and UNICEF/ARSDO guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

1-      Implement and supervise communicable disease control activities across health facilities.

2-      Ensure accurate case detection, registration, and timely reporting through HMIS and surveillance systems.

3-      Support outbreak investigation and response in coordination with Cluster Manager and PHO.

4-      Conduct regular supervision and on-job training for facility staff on disease prevention and reporting.

5-      Promote community awareness on communicable disease prevention and hygiene practices.

Qualifications:

1-      MD or Bachelor’s in Public Health or related field.

2-      Minimum 3 years of experience in CDC or public health programs.

3-      Good knowledge of surveillance systems and outbreak management.

4-      Fluency in Pashto and Dari; English preferred.

5-      Knowledge and skills of computer and MS office.
