Role and responsibilities
The CCC Supervisor ensures that Child Care Centers provide a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly
environment for children affected by vulnerability, displacement, violence, or psychosocial distress.
CCC supervises supervises daily center activities, supports facilitators and childcare workers, ensures
compliance with child protection standards, and coordinates with project teams and communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & Program Implementation
➢ Supervise the daily operation of Child Care Centers
➢ Ensure implementation of Psychosocial support activities, Recreational and educational
sessions, Child-friendly approaches
➢ Support and monitor childcare facilitators and staff
➢ Ensure safeguarding and child protection standards are followed
➢ Coordinate with families, communities, and local stakeholders
➢ Monitor attendance, activity quality, and reporting
➢ Identify and refer vulnerable children needing specialized support
➢ Support distribution and use of educational/recreational materials and PSS kits
➢ Ensure centers remain safe, clean, and operational
2. Community Engagement & Awareness
➢ Support establishment and strengthening of community-based child protection
mechanisms
➢ Organize awareness sessions on child rights, protection risks, and prevention strategies
➢ Engage with parents, caregivers, and community leaders to promote child well-being
3. Coordination & Representation
➢ Coordinate with government authorities, NGOs, and protection clusters
➢ Participate in relevant coordination meetings and working groups
➢ Strengthen referral networks and partnerships for comprehensive child protection
services
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
➢ Monitor project activities and ensure quality implementation
➢ Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, donor reports)
➢ Maintain accurate records, case files, and data management systems (e.g., CPIMS if
applicable)
5. Safeguarding & Compliance
➢ Ensure all project activities comply with child safeguarding and protection policies
➢ Promote Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) principles
➢ Report and respond to any safeguarding concerns appropriately
