The RH Officer works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Technical Manager at AAIWO-Kandahar Provincial Office. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, manage, coordinate, and monitor reproductive health activities at the provincial level, and to provide regular supportive supervision to RH staff working at health facilities. The position ensures that RH services are delivered in line with national strategies, policies, and standards.

Ensure effective integration and implementation of the National Reproductive Health Strategy and policies at provincial and district levels.

Provide technical support and guidance to the AAIWO management team on reproductive health–related issues at the provincial level.

Ensure that all RH staff are familiar with and adhere to national RH guidelines, treatment protocols, and standards.

Regularly update RH staff on new national policies, guidelines, and technical documents.

Ensure availability, proper use, and maintenance of RH-related equipment, supplies, and tools at health facilities.

Ensure Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) centers are functional and operating according to national standards.

Support the recruitment process of RH staff in close coordination with HR and other relevant departments.

Identify, address, or appropriately refer RH staff challenges and issues to relevant departments when needed.

Strengthen and improve referral systems across all levels of health facilities (SHC, BHC, CHC, and DH).

Plan, organize, and provide training and on-the-job support to health facility staff in accordance with national RH guidelines.

Actively participate in RH-related workshops, coordination meetings, and technical forums at provincial and national levels.

Assess RH staff training needs and identify capacity-building opportunities at facility and provincial levels.

Conduct and facilitate monthly midwives’ meetings to share information, discuss challenges, and identify practical solutions.

Conduct regular supervision of RH services at health facilities in line with BPHS and SAFE standards as part of the AAIWO supervision team.

Analyze RH data and prepare accurate and timely monthly reports on RH activities.

Ensure proper inventory management and maintenance of assets at health facilities.

Perform any other duties or project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
