About Youth PEER Afghanistan Organization:

Y-PEER Afghanistan (Youth Peer Afghanistan Organization – YPAO) is a youth-led network dedicated to empowering Afghan youth through peer-to-peer education, leadership development, and community engagement. As part of the global Y-PEER initiative, YPAO works to promote health, education, life skills, youth participation, and humanitarian support across Afghanistan. The organization trains young volunteers to serve as peer educators, enabling them to deliver awareness programs, leadership training, and community outreach activities that strengthen youth capacity and contribute to social development.

Job Descriptions:
  1. Provide overall leadership, direction, and strategic guidance for the Small Grant Project and ensure its effective implementation.
  2. Lead the full project cycle including initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and closure in line with donor requirements and NGO internal policies.
  3. Develop detailed project work plans, operational plans, and activity calendars, ensuring alignment with the project objectives.
  4. Oversee project staff including project officers, trainers, field mobilizers, M&E staff, and support teams.
  5. Ensure project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality.
  6. Represent the project in coordination meetings, stakeholder engagements, and community consultations.
  7. Maintain effective partnerships with community leaders, and other relevant governmental and non-governmental bodies.
  8. Coordinate closely with donor focal points and ensure positive communication and transparent information sharing.
  9. Monitor activity implementation through field visits, review meetings, and evaluations.
  10. Work with MEAL teams to ensure proper data collection, beneficiary tracking, and quality control.
  11. Identify challenges and risks and take timely corrective actions.
  12. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative reports for senior management and donors.
  13. Ensure all lessons learned are documented and used for project improvement.
  14. Ensure project expenses align with approved budgets and donor regulations.
  15. Work with the Finance Manager to develop spending plans, review BvA reports, and ensure cost efficiency.
  16. Review and approve financial documentation related to the project before submission to Finance.
  17. Ensure all project activities follow organizational safeguarding policies, PSEA guidelines, and accountability frameworks.
  18. Ensure beneficiary selection processes are transparent, inclusive, and free from favoritism.
  19. Ensure the security and safety of staff during field missions.
Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, social science, Finance or a related field required; Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred Prior
  2. At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant field with NGO's 
  3. Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Good in leading and supervising team
  6. Conflict management skills
  7. Good computer knowledge and skill
  8. Familiar with rule and regulation of stakeholders
  9. Good knowledge project working of NGOs in Afghanistan
  10. Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  11. Organizational and time management skills are needed to ensure programs are completed by the scheduled time.
