About Future Generations Afghanistan:

Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in 1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change focus on Conservation and Peace building. The Future Generations Afghanistan (FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005. Since 2007, FGA has been operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar, Nuristan, Logar, Wardak, Nimruz, Herat, Kanadahar, Badghis, Panjshir, Bamyan, Helmand & Zabul Provinces

Job Descriptions:

The main purpose of this position is to facilitate beneficiary awareness and selection for various agriculture inputs through beneficiary profile survey, training, and distribution according to the set criteria in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

Conduct coordination and awareness meetings with the relevant stakeholders at the district and community level
Conduct project awareness meetings and various sessions with the community elders and relevant stakeholders at the district and community level
Beneficiary selection for agriculture inputs through beneficiary profile survey according to the criteria in close collaboration with the district-level committee.
Provide villages list in specific districts in coordination with CDCs and district-level Shuras.
Take an active part in the agriculture input distribution process, and make sure the process is smooth and safe.
Conducting post-distribution monitoring survey.
Entering beneficiary profile survey data into the designed database if needed.

Build and maintain network with district level governmental and non-governmental authorities
Extension Workers will attend meetings in district level and prepare reports to Provincial Coordinaton.
Provide and deliver technical advice/training on wheat cultivation and pest management, including wheat seed cultivation, importance of wheat, selection of wheat seed and wheat seed variety, preparation of bed for wheat seed cultivation, weed & diseases control in wheat crop, insect control.
Providing weekly activity/process report (beneficiary selection, inputs distribution, and post-distribution survey).

Qualifications:

Understanding the Pashto and Dari Languages.
Local knowledge of the culture and areas
Familiarity with working with KoBO application and preliminary Computer programs (Word, Excel)
